Ukraine is situated in the south-eastern part of Europe and is the second largest country in Europe. Ukraine is a unique country as it has various natural resources: flatland, mountaines and the access to the seas. These factors allow it to develop different branches of industry but it primarily remaines an agricultural country. Ukraine is famous for having perfect soil for growing crops and plants. The access to the seas gives opportunity for tourism development and sea trade. It is a country of both winter and summer tourism which is itself a great priviledge.
The population of Ukraine is very diverse, it consists of people of many nationalities and origins as it was a part of the Soviet Union. Now Ukraine works on expansion of exchange programs to let people from all over the world get to know its traditions, customs and promote its culture. Its customs were influenced by Christianity that is why a number of churches and cathedrals are concentrated in some cities, especialy Kiev, the capital and the largest city of Ukraine. Among other big cities are Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk.
Ukrainian is the state language but there are many Russian speaking people mostly in southern and eastern regions due to their historical past.
The wealthiness of Ukraine is in its traditions which go back to many centuries. Numerous holidays witness about its cultural richness and lively mind of the people. Ukrainian people are welcomed in the job world market as they have always been known as highly educated employees. Schools, gymnasias, lycees, technical schools, institutes and universities provide with broad range of knowledge and skills.
